TURKMENISTAN APPROVES 2026 SOCIOECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM

During an expanded government meeting on February 13, the President of Turkmenistan signed a resolution approving the 2026 Socioeconomic Development and Investment Program for Turkmenistan.

According to the document, ministries, departments, regional administrations, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag are instructed to ensure the proper implementation of the aforementioned Program within the established timeframe.

The resolution was signed with the aim of successfully fulfilling the objectives outlined in the Program "Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052" and the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028", maintaining the socio-economic growth of the state and achieving dynamic development of the regions, pursuing an active investment policy and increasing the volume of capital investment in the construction of industrial and social facilities, strengthening the country's economic power and fully utilizing the production potential of industrial enterprises, stimulating production facilities producing export-oriented and import-substitution products, consistently introducing modern digital technologies and a "green" economy, broadly supporting small and medium-sized businesses, creating new jobs in the regions, and significantly improving the standard of living of citizens in 2026, declared "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan - Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses".
