The Turkmen delegation participated in the 33rd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague

The Turkmen delegation took part in the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which was held in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, from 4 to 8 July.

Turkmen representatives also participated in a side event on “Parliamentary Dialogue of Central Asian Countries as a Mechanism for Strengthening Trust and Security in the OSCE Region and Beyond,” dedicated to strengthening interparliamentary dialogue and regional cooperation.

During the event, Turkmenistan’s position was presented regarding the importance of expanding interparliamentary cooperation as an effective mechanism for promoting constructive international dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation on issues of common interest.

In addition, the Turkmen participants met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro. The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation and discussed a comprehensive regional approach to further developing interaction with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
