MEETING OF THE HALK MASLAHATY OF TURKMENISTAN HELD IN ASHGABAT

On September 23, a regular meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held at the capital’s Maslahat Köşgi Palace under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Opening the meeting in a solemn atmosphere, the National Leader of the Turkmen people addressed the participants.

The agenda of the meeting, held on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, included important issues aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life for the people, as well as the country’s further socio-economic development. Participants of the Halk Maslahaty meeting were given the floor to speak on the issues included in the agenda.

The nationwide forum continued its work with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, gave the floor to the Head of State, who, from the high rostrum of the forum, outlined the results of the work carried out in the independent neutral state. During the meeting, the Head of State signed important state documents.

During the meeting, a solemn award ceremony was held for honorary elders and mothers who had been conferred the title “Hormatly il ýaşulusy” and awarded the “Zenan kalby” Order.
