THE AMBASSADOR OF THE BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA TO TURKMENISTAN PRESENTED COPIES OF HIS CREDENTIALS

On March 27, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku) Christopher Alberto Martinez Berroteran, who presented copies of his credentials.

A.Gurbanov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.

Next, the parties discussed the agenda of Turkmen-Venezuelan relations, covering various areas of interstate interaction. It was stated that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Venezuela is developing on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial partnership.

Diplomats emphasized the constructive cooperation between the two countries in the international arena, within the framework of which the parties provide equal support and act as co-authors of important international initiatives.

The sides expressed a common opinion on the importance of expanding trade and economic ties in such areas as energy, oil and gas, green technologies and agriculture.

A traditionally important topic of cooperation was the discussion of prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of culture and education between Venezuela and Turkmenistan, including the exchange of cultural programs and initiatives, the organization of educational projects, as well as joint events in the field of art, culture and education.
