On February 13, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine Mr. Toyly Atayev visited the Library named after Magtymguly of the Centralized Library System "Svichado" in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv at the invitation of the acting director, Ms. Yulia Lopata.

As is known, the library has the Magtymguly Museum - a real treasure trove of Turkmen culture in Ukraine. It has been 50 years since the opening of the museum in 1975.

Mr. Toyly Atayev noted that the Magtymguly Museum and the long-term active work of the library play a special role in revealing the artistic, humanistic, moral value of the creative heritage of the classic poet Magtymguly Fragi, as well as popularizing Turkmen culture in Ukraine, bringing together and mutually enriching the cultures of the friendly peoples of our countries.

The acting director of the library acquainted Mr. Ambassador with the cultural, scientific and educational program of events scheduled for 2025, which, as you know, continues the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, included in the UNESCO List of significant dates.

During the meeting, they discussed intentions to jointly hold events in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi and the 50th anniversary of the poet's museum in 2025, declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in Turkmenistan.
