THE ON-TIME COMPLETION OF THE AUTOMOBILE BRIDGE ACROSS THE GARABOGAZGOL BAY IS A SIGNIFICANT LABOR GIFT FOR THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF TURKMENISTAN'S NEUTRALITY

Today, the teams of the State Agency for Road Construction Management and its subordinate structures are working hard to complete the construction of a new automobile bridge across the Garabogazgol Bay on the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway.

The commissioning of this important facility, as noted at the Expanded Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan when summing up the results of work over the past year, is scheduled for the very near future.

Let us recall that the construction of the bridge of international importance began in July 2022. The construction, together with local colleagues, is successfully carried out by Turkmenistan's long-standing partner, "Altkom" Road Construction" Limited Liability Company. Steel structures, which are the main material for construction work, are imported from Turkiye, Germany and Great Britain.

According to experts, international requirements are strictly observed here. The object under construction is a bridge with two-way traffic, consisting of two traffic lanes. The length of the bridge will be 354 meters, and the width - 21 meters. Thus, the load-bearing and throughput capacity of the road bridge is ensured, as well as its long-term operation in accordance with international standards and norms.

Currently, work is underway to concretize all bridge supports, including piles, columns and crossbars, install bridge control panels, insulate columns, install and move metal structures between columns. Access roads to the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz bridge are also prepared for asphalting. It is worth noting that the main goal of the workers and specialists working on its construction is to commission the new bridge under construction in Garabogaz on time and with high quality.

The specialists intend to complete the work in May, which will be a worthy labor gift for the 30th anniversary of the neutrality of our Fatherland.
