THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN MET WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

On 03.04.2025 President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Samarkand to participate in the first Summit in the format of "Central Asia - European Union", met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction that at present, Turkmen-Uzbek relations, distinguished by a high level of trust and mutual support, are dynamically developing in a wide range of areas, including agriculture, electric power, oil and gas, chemical industry and other industries.

Particular attention is paid to the formation of transport and energy corridors, strengthening interregional ties, as well as joint work to address pressing issues of sustainable development and stability in Central Asia. In this context, confidence was expressed that the current Summit will be an important step towards a closer and mutually beneficial partnership between Central Asia and the European Union.
