ADDRESS OF PARTICIPANTS IN THE II CENTRAL ASIAN YOUTH DIALOGUE PUBLISHED AS OFFICIAL UN DOCUMENT

The address from the participants of the Second Meeting of the Youth Dialogue of Central Asian Countries, held at the UN Headquarters in New York on April 16th of this year, has been published in six languages as an official document of the UN General Assembly and Security Council under the symbols A/79/894–S/2025/255. This was announced on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The Address particularly emphasizes that the demographic dividend in Central Asia is attributable to the fact that the majority of the population comprises young people under the age of 30. In this context, it calls for leveraging their potential to contribute to sustainable development, environmental cooperation, and the rational use of water resources.
Special attention is given to the UN General Assembly's initiative to declare 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the role of Turkmenistan's neutrality in strengthening regional stability. The youth urged active participation in environmental, digital, and social initiatives and expressed their readiness to contribute to upcoming international events, including the forum in Avaza in August 2025.
The event took place within the framework of the ECOSOC Youth Forum and commemorated the 10th anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on "Youth, Peace and Security." The meeting was held under the motto "Youth Voices for Peace and Trust" and brought together delegations from 43 countries worldwide.
The adoption of the Address of the Participants of the Second Central Asian Youth Dialogue as an official UN document serves as further evidence of the successful implementation of Turkmenistan's international initiatives.
