THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN HELD TALKS WITH COLLEAGUES FROM MOLDOVA, BURUNDI AND CHAD

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held telephone talks with the heads of the foreign ministries of Moldova, Burundi and Chad, during which they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and preparations for the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in a conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, the parties discussed current areas of Turkmen-Moldovan cooperation. Particular attention was paid to preparations for the August LLDC 3 conference, which will be held in Turkmenistan.

During the talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Republic of Burundi Albert Shingiro, the ministers discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. A separate topic of discussion was also preparation for the upcoming UN conference.

Meredov also held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad, Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul. The heads of the foreign policy departments reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, and discussed interaction within international organizations and preparations for the LLDC 3 conference.

The third UN conference on landlocked developing countries is scheduled for August 2025 on the Caspian Sea coast in Avaza.
