TURKMEN BOXER KHURSAND IMANKULIEV BECAME THE WBC EURASIA CHAMPION

Turkmen boxer Khursand Imankuliev won the WBC Eurasia title. The bout took place on May 29 at the Humo Arena in Tashkent within the framework of the WBC Eurasia Boxing Night.

Imankuliev finished the fight early in the first round, knocking out his opponent. The Turkmen athlete's opponent was Tanzanian boxer Adam Dacha, with a professional record of 8 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw. The fight took place in the welterweight division (up to 69,8 kg).

Khursand Imankuliev is an international master of sports and a 10-time champion of Turkmenistan. He also represented the country at world championships and the Asian Games. In 2017, he won bronze at the Islamic Solidarity Games, and in 2018, he won the XXXV International Felix Stamm Tournament in Poland.

The bout marked Imankuliev's first professional title fight.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is one of the world's four leading boxing organizations, founded in 1963. The WBC Eurasia title is a regional championship belt and is part of the organization's official ranking system.
