Concert Featuring Artists from CIS Member States Held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone
On October 8, a concert featuring artists from member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held at the fountain complex in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The cultural event was attended by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as heads of high-level delegations who had arrived to participate in the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
The concert programme featured vibrant performances by renowned pop singers and dance ensembles from CIS member states.
Performances by People's Artists and Honoured Artists of Turkmenistan, prominent singers, musicians and folklore ensembles added a distinctive national flavour to the concert.
The festive programme continued with the traditional Kushtdepdi dance, an integral part of both national and global cultural heritage, which is inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The concert concluded with a joint performance of the song “Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym Türkmenistan!”, with lyrics and music composed by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
