TURKMENISTAN AND GEORGIA ARE ADHERED TO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL COOPERATION

On November 12, 2019, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with Georgian delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Ninua. 

During the talks, the parties discussed the key aspects of Turkmen-Georgian relations in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The positive experience of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, as well as the efficient inter-parliamentary collaboration was noted.     

Speaking about the development of economic ties, the parties underlined the vital role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation. Accordingly, the successful conduction the day before of the second meeting of the Working group on trade issues established in the framework of the Commission was noted and to attend which the high-ranking delegation of Georgia has arrived to Ashgabat. In this regard, the diplomats discussed the current cooperation in the fuel-energy, transport-communication and other fields, as well as considered the prospective ways of collaboration for the future.     

In the conclusion, the diplomats expressed hope for further development of Turkmen-Georgian relations for the benefit of the two countries and people.
