A MEETING AT THE MFA OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF PORTUGAL

On May 22, 2024, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal Pedro Moitinho de Almeida.

Throughout the meeting, it was stated that Turkmenistan and Portugal actively cooperate within various international organizations, primarily with the UN, demonstrating their commitment to the principles of multilateralism. In the mutual opinion of the parties, such a partnership reflects a common approach to solving global problems through multilateral appliances, emphasizing the importance of consolidating efforts and collective responsibility in the international arena.

Taking into account the existing potential, the importance of developing trade and economic cooperation and expanding relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere was also noted.
