AMBASSADOR OF TURKMENISTAN MR. TOYLY ATAYEV DISCUSSED A WIDE RANGE OF ISSUES OF BILATERAL COOPERATION WITH THE STATE SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
Today, April 3, 2025 a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine, concurrently accredited in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Toyly Atayev, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Sergiu Mihov.
During the meeting in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova the Parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, strengthening political dialogue, current areas of cooperation, including foreign policy, economic, trade, scientific and educational, humanitarian, cultural ties and tourism.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the issue of intensifying bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries and interparliamentary consultations, and agreed on a schedule of high-level contacts for the coming year. The plan included holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Moldovan Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, in order to give impetus to one of the key areas of partnership.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan discussed with the representative of the Ministry a pressing issue related to the provision of visa support to the category of citizens of Turkmenistan who need it, after which the ways of cooperation in this area were outlined.
Taking the opportunity, the diplomats expressed gratitude for the regular support of the candidacies of friendly countries during the elections to membership in international organizations on the sidelines of the United Nations. Thus, they noted the high level of trust and fruitful cooperation between the countries.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan renewed the invitation, previously sent for the leadership of the Republic of Moldova, to take part in the High-Level International Forum "Peace and Trust", scheduled for December 12 this year in Ashgabat in honor of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality.
