GURBANGULY BERDIMUHAMEDOV NAMED FIVE PRIORITY AREAS OF COOPERATION WITH FRANCE

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke at the Turkmen-French Economic Forum in Paris, where he presented five priority areas for cooperation with the French business community.

The forum, organized by the French International Association "MEDEF International", brought together heads and representatives of leading French companies, members of the Turkmen delegation and representatives of the business community of Turkmenistan.

In his speech, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that his speech consists of three sections: the first is devoted to the current geopolitical state of Turkmenistan, the second - to its geo-economic state and the third - to the issue of coordinating joint work.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people confirmed that Turkmenistan has created a solid regulatory framework for investors, which guarantees the reliability of investments and complies with the generally recognized norms of international law. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov put forward five specific proposals for the development of cooperation. First of all, he confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to promote French goods and services in its market, especially in the oil and gas sector, satellite technologies, transport, cadastre, water resources, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Secondly, Turkmenistan is interested in attracting French experience in the field of urban development, monitoring methane emissions, geological exploration, supply of oil and gas equipment, "green" and hydrogen energy.

The third proposal is to study the possibilities of attracting small and medium-sized French enterprises to do business in Turkmenistan. The fourth is cooperation in the field of tourism, taking into account France's leading positions in the global tourism sector. The fifth is active cooperation in training national specialists in all of the above areas.
