The President of Turkmenistan congratulated his compatriots on the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag

Today, Turkmenistan widely and solemnly celebrates a double holiday - the Day of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Day of the State Flag.

On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed all the people of Independent, Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan with a festive congratulation.

"The Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan are symbols of the national statehood that has been formed over hundreds of years," the head of state said in his address.

In his congratulations, the President noted that Turkmenistan continues the democratization of state and public life, relying on the Basic Law, which has incorporated national and world practice of state structure.

On the occasion of the national holiday, which is celebrated in the International Year of Peace and Trust, the country is hosting cultural and mass events at the Monument to the Constitution and the Main Flagpole of Ashgabat, on the squares with the main flagpoles of the city of Arkadag, administrative centers of the regions, the National Tourist Zone "Avaza", cities and villages of the country.

The President also recalled that on March 21, 2025, at the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the Resolution "On the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan" was adopted, which "demonstrated the country's efforts to establish peace and friendship." The address emphasizes that Turkmenistan will continue to strengthen its position as a democratic, legal and secular state in the international arena.
