TURKMEN FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS WITH PRESIDENT AND PM OF GEORGIA

On October 21, 2025, during an official visit to Georgia, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili.

During the meeting, key issues of bilateral cooperation, strengthening political dialogue, as well as developing economic and cultural ties between the two countries were discussed.

The sides emphasized that regular contacts at high and the highest levels contribute to the deepening of their strategic partnership.

It was noted that Turkmenistan and Georgia consistently support each other’s constructive international initiatives and co-sponsor them within the framework of the United Nations.

The President of Georgia noted that Turkmenistan’s policy of neutrality makes an important contribution to ensuring global peace and receives wide support of the international community.

As part of the visit, Rashid Meredov met with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian fields. They also emphasized successful collaboration within the multilateral formats, primarily in the United Nations.
