AN EVENT DEDICATED TO THE YEAR OF PEACE AND TRUST WAS HELD IN ASHGABAT

The event, "International Year of Peace and Trust: Confident Steps of Neutral Turkmenistan," was held at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat. Members of the government, heads of the country's diplomatic service, representatives of international organizations and embassies, employees of various industries, and young people participated.

The event opened with performances by cultural and artistic figures. Participants viewed a large-scale exhibition.

After R. Bazarov, Head of the Office of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, declared the meeting open, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN A. Atayeva, Representative of the UN Children's Fund in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna, the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States, Germany, Uzbekistan, and Iran to Turkmenistan, as well as residents and students, addressed the meeting.

The speeches noted with great pride the international significance of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the importance of the results of the international forum held in connection with the glorious 30th anniversary of this legal status. They emphasized the development of Turkmenistan's long-term cooperation with reputable international organizations and major global companies, the country's progress, and the commitment of the National Leader, the President of Turkmenistan, to the principles of peace and trust in both domestic and foreign policy.

At the end of the event, an address to the President of Turkmenistan was adopted on behalf of the participants.
