“Arkadag” hosted Saudi Arabia's “Al-Nasr” in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16. The match took place at the Olympic Stadium in Ashgabat and ended 0-1 in favor of the visitors.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 19th minute, when Abdullah Al Hamdan opened the scoring after an assist from Angelo. In the first half, “Arkadag” failed to create a real threat to the opponent's goal. In the second half, the Turkmen team was more active and tried to equalize, but they were unable to turn the game around.

Following the first leg, “Al Nasr” has an advantage heading into the return leg, which will take place in Riyadh on February 18.

Following the match, the head coaches of both teams held a press conference to comment on the result and discuss their preparations for the return leg.

Al Nasr is a well-known Saudi professional football club from Riyadh, founded in 1955, for which Cristiano Ronaldo has played since the end of 2022.
