TURKMENISTAN CELEBRATES THE DAY OF DIPLOMATIC WORKERS
Today, February 18, is the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan.
This professional holiday symbolizes recognition of the responsible mission of Turkmen diplomacy, which for many years has consistently and responsibly defended the state's national interests, strengthened its international authority, and contributed to the formation of a sustainable architecture of cooperation based on the principles of peace, trust, and mutual respect.
Under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country's diplomatic service has demonstrated strategic consistency and a balanced foreign policy. The key goals in this area are broadly reflected in the "Concept of Foreign Policy for Neutral Turkmenistan for 2022–2028." The constructive and peaceful policy of neutrality, three times recognized by the international community, remains a solid foundation for Turkmenistan's international activities and serves as an important factor in strengthening stability in the region and beyond.
Turkmen diplomacy makes a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development and prosperity of our country, successfully promoting international initiatives aimed at strengthening global security, sustainable development, and intercivilizational dialogue.
Thanks to the consistent and systematic work of Turkmen diplomacy, the international community has repeatedly supported Turkmenistan's key initiatives. Among the most important achievements are the adoption of resolutions supporting Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status and, at our country's initiative, the proclamation of December 12 as International Neutrality Day.
The diplomatic service actively promotes initiatives at the UN aimed at developing preventive diplomacy, sustainable transport, energy security, water cooperation, and environmental sustainability. The consistent work of Turkmen diplomats has contributed to strengthening Ashgabat's role as a regional platform for dialogue and peaceful resolution, as well as enhancing the country's standing as a responsible and predictable partner.
Activities at the UN are a clear demonstration of the maturity and effectiveness of the national diplomatic service, its significant contribution to strengthening international cooperation and ensuring the continued sustainable development and prosperity of Turkmenistan.
