Turkmenistan Confirms Support For Four China-Proposed Global Initiatives

Turkmenistan confirmed support for four global initiatives proposed by China, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov said during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday.

The Turkmen side also expressed readiness to participate in preparations for the third China-Central Asia Summit.

Wang stressed the importance of strengthening ties between the two peoples and called for further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership. He said the high level of mutual trust between the two countries’ leadership provides a solid foundation for stable bilateral relations.

The talks were held during a visit to China by National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
