As part of the poetry marathon, Olga Ponomaryova, a representative of the Turkmen diaspora, read Lesya Ukrainka's poem "Like a Child, It Was...."

The Ukrainian poetess, one of the key figures in Ukrainian literature, became a symbol of personal freedom, intellectual depth, and the struggle for national identity. She enriched Ukrainian poetry with new themes and images, combining personal experiences with philosophical reflections on freedom, dignity, and human will.

The poem explores themes of fortitude, restraint, and inner struggle—the heroine refuses to show weakness, turning tears into laughter.

The diaspora representative emphasized that such works help better understand Ukrainian poetry and its depth.
