On May 25, Ashgabat's capital and across the country are hosting festive events to mark Ashgabat City Day. Concerts, exhibitions, and creative events are being organized alongside the "Last Bell" ceremonies for high school graduates.

Ashgabat City Day has been celebrated since 2013. The occasion for the holiday's establishment was the capital's inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records as the city with the largest number of buildings clad in white marble. Ashgabat is also included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the “Design” category.

Within the framework of the celebrations, the city opened a multidisciplinary international exhibition, "White City Ashgabat," dedicated to the country's achievements in urban development, architecture, and urban infrastructure.

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the capital's residents on the occasion of the holiday, in which he particularly noted the city's successes in developing its architectural appearance and constructing social facilities.
