THE MEETING HAS HELD WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE ADB REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN TURKMENISTAN

On June 23, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the Director of the Permanent Mission of the Asian Development Bank in Turkmenistan, Chang Ching Yu. During the negotiations, priority areas of cooperation were discussed, including the practical implementation of new promising projects. In particular, issues of developing close cooperation in the banking sector, as well as the intensification of work on the implementation of joint projects in the energy and transport sectors were considered.

Given the pandemic situation, the parties focused on the need to consolidate efforts to reduce the socio-economic impact of COVID-19. In this direction, Turkmenistan’s efforts in strengthening stability and economic development in the country and throughout the region were especially noted.

In addition, the parties considered joint projects and programs aimed at supporting private entrepreneurship, which are entering the phase of practical implementation.
