Today, in accordance with the program of the Week of Culture, in the Dashoguz velayat, participants of the creative action were provided with visits to unique archaeological sites located in the region, some of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Among them are the mausoleums of Tekesh and Il-Arslan, Tyurabek Khanum, Najmeddin Kubrа, Sultan Ali, Piryar Veli, the Kutluk Timur minaret in Kunyaurgench, the ancient fortified city of Yzmykshir and many others.

In 2016, restoration work was completed at the Ismamut-ata architectural complex in the Dashoguz province. Founded in the XI century, it is one of the largest religious and architectural monuments of the medieval history not only of Turkmenistan, but also of Central Asia.

As part of the study tour, the participants in the cultural forum visited the ancient city of Yzmykshir located on the territory of the current Gorogly etrap, the birthplace of the outstanding Turkmen scientist, encyclopedist, philosopher, theologian, philologist and writer of the 11th – 12th centuries, Mahmoud Zamakhshari, whose works had a significant impact on the development of world science, and its mausoleum became a pilgrimage site not only for Turkmen citizens, but also for foreign guests.

Experts believe that the surviving remains of the fortified city of Yzmykshir are a classic example of medieval architecture. Powerful walls and gate constructions, fragments of adobe towers and protective ditches indicate that Yzmykshir was an important center of trade and science on the Great Silk Road, which is also confirmed by written evidence of that time.

Also today, on a square located on the shore of Lake Yashlar, a colorful musical festival was held with the participation of pupils of art schools of the Dashoguz province. Along the Shavat canal, in a popular recreation area with an area of about seven and a half hectares, there was a concert stage, sculptural compositions. Thematic exhibitions of drawings and crafts by pupils of city and etrap children's art schools were launched here. Young performers pleased the guests with choreographic and folklore performances.

The baton of the events of the creative forum was taken by the modern rural House of Culture in the geneshlik “Altyn ýol” of the etrap named after S. A. Niyazov. Here was a meeting devoted to the development of cinema art. Then the premiere screening of the film “The Great Silk Road” took place, based on the book of the head of state “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road”.

In the evening, the festivities continued in the central part of Dashoguz, on Makhtumkuli Square. Here, at the monument to the great Turkmen poet, a literary evening was held. The program of the second day of the Culture Week was completed by a concert of masters of art.
