TELEPHONE CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE PRESIDENTS OF TURKMENISTAN AND THE TURKISH REPUBLIC

On July 31, 2020, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Warmly welcoming each other, the leaders of the two states exchanged congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The parties noted with satisfaction that at present, the Turkmen-Turkish friendly relations are acquiring a qualitatively new content, and the implementation of joint projects contributes to the further strengthening of the interstate dialogue.

Turkey is one of the countries with which Turkmenistan is successfully developing trade and economic cooperation, the leader of the nation said, stressing the importance of using the enormous potential available to expand productive relations in this direction and providing, if necessary, appropriate support to each other.

Reaffirming the commitment of the two countries to inviolable fraternal ties, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that every effort will continue to be made to further strengthen interstate cooperation.

Also during the telephone conversation in the context of discussing topical issues of the regional and global agenda, the topic of the coronavirus pandemic was raised.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan confirmed the unchanging readiness of our country for broad cooperation in the development of new methods in this direction.

At the end of the conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished each other health, happiness and success, and peace and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
