MEETING OF THE AMBASSADOR OF TURKMENISTAN TO UKRAINE WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY

On October 23, 2024, Ambassador Toyly Atayev met with Sergey Pavlovsky, Director of the Municipal Research Institution "Research Institute for socio-economic development of the city", at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyiv. This institute is the main scientific institution in the system of the Kyiv Council and the Kyiv City State Administration for conducting scientific research in the field of economics, informatics and sociology, contributing to the socio-economic development of the capital of Ukraine.

Mr. Pavlovsky spoke about the current activities of the institute, innovations and scientific approaches to the development of the city, including the unification of specialists from all higher educational institutions of Ukraine. He emphasized that proposals are currently being considered to create urban planning faculties in Ukrainian higher educational institutions.

In the context of the above, the director expressed interest in cooperation with urban development institutes and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan specializing in this area, and invited their representatives to take part in thematic conferences and other events organized by the institute.

In turn, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan informed the Ukrainian side about the successful implementation of programs aimed at the continuous development of the Turkmen capital and raising the standard of living of the people. It was noted that the number of cultural, industrial and public facilities, as well as new healthcare facilities in Ashgabat is constantly increasing.

Speaking about the new Turkmen city of Arkadag, which was created in accordance with the concept of a "smart" city in the country, Mr. Ambassador noted that the second stage of its construction is currently underway and emphasized the introduction of environmentally friendly engineering systems and the continuous construction of various facilities.

The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing the dialogue in the interests of enhancing cooperation between the countries and their capitals.
