THE AMBASSADOR OF BRAZIL PRESENTED COPIES OF HIS CREDENTIALS TO THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN

On December 10, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Turkmenistan (with residence in Astana) Marcel Fortuna Biato at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Having presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ambassador of Brazil expressed gratitude for the hospitality.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing political and diplomatic cooperation. The effectiveness of cooperation within the UN was noted.

The diplomats considered ways to expand trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

Ambassador Marcel Fortuna Biato emphasized the importance of the upcoming 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), scheduled to be held in Brazil next year, and invited the delegation of Turkmenistan to participate in it.

In addition, the parties noted the importance of events in honor of the International Day of Neutrality, for which guests from different countries of the world arrived in Ashgabat.
