THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN DISCUSSED THE RESULTS OF THE SECURITY FORCES' WORK OVER THE PAST 11 MONTHS AT A SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING
On December 3, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The meeting reviewed the performance of military and law enforcement agencies for the eleven months of this year, and discussed strengthening their material and technical base and further improving their operations.
The head of state noted the key importance of further strengthening the country's defense capability, emphasizing that the programmatic development of the Armed Forces must be conducted in strict accordance with the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, which is strictly defensive in nature.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need to effectively train highly qualified personnel and improve conditions for productive service and living conditions for military personnel and their families.
In the area of maintaining law and order and public safety, leaders were instructed to continue efforts to prevent crime, as well as to ensure fire and road safety. The need for widespread use of digital technologies in maintaining public order and road safety was emphasized.
Within the judicial and legal systems, the President demanded strict oversight of the implementation of laws and other legal acts, focusing on respect for human and civil rights and freedoms. To improve the efficiency of judicial proceedings and strengthen legal security, the importance of introducing modern technologies and continuing to improve the national legislative framework was emphasized.
Discussing the activities of border, customs, and migration services, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief emphasized that Turkmenistan's state border is a border of friendship and good neighborliness. The task was set to continue efforts to ensure reliable border security, implement best practices, and modernize the material and technical base. In the area of customs, a key requirement was improved monitoring of the compliance of imported goods with established requirements, and in the area of migration, improved oversight of compliance with migration legislation.
Summarizing all the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the members of the State Security Council with a request to ensure a high level of security and public order during the upcoming major celebrations: the glorious 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, International Neutrality Day, as well as international events and New Year's celebrations.
The President emphasized that efforts to strengthen defense capability and maintain a high level of security will be consistently continued.
At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed decrees on the appointment and dismissal of prosecutors and judges, as well as on the assignment of qualification classes to judges.
