TURKMEN PRESIDENT LAUNCHES MAIDEN VOYAGE OF GADAMLY CARGO SHIP

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday attended the ceremonial launch of the maiden voyage of the new dry cargo vessel Gadamly at the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.

The vessel, which was built and launched at the end of last year, departed on its first commercial route across the Caspian Sea after the completion of commissioning and technical preparations. The ship is heading to the Port of Baku in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Gadamly dry cargo vessel meets international standards and has a carrying capacity of 6,100 tons. The ship is equipped with modern navigation systems and advanced technological equipment, while its crew consists of 14 highly qualified specialists.

The maiden voyage of the Gadamly reflects Turkmenistan’s broader policy of developing a modern maritime торговый fleet. In recent years, the country has expanded its fleet with new tankers, ferries, and other vessels as part of efforts to strengthen regional transport and logistics connectivity.
