TURKMEN HORSE BECOMES ABSOLUTE WORLD CHAMPION OF AKHAL-TEKE BEAUTY CONTEST
On May 10, the World Championship for the Beauty of Akhal-Teke Horses was held in Uzbekistan as part of the international competition “Pearl of the East.” Akhal-Teke horses from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries took part in the event.
Held for the 22nd time, the Akhal-Teke beauty contest played an important role in the development of global horse-breeding traditions.
The international beauty competition was conducted separately among stallions and mares aged two, three, four, six years and older, as well as among yearling foals.
Based on the unanimous decision of the judges, a horse named Meledag (a descendant of the horses Gadymygala and Fartun) from the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex was declared the world champion in the beauty contest among two-year-old stallions. To loud applause, the winning Turkmen horse was draped with the honorary blankets “World Champion” and “Pearl of the East.” In a ceremonial setting, Meledag’s trainer was presented with the World Beauty Champion’s Cup, an honorary certificate, and a valuable gift.
Among horses aged six years and older, the title of world champion was awarded to the stallion Aygytly from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. In a solemn ceremony, the magnificent horse Aygytly was draped with the honorary blankets “Pearl of the East” and “World Champion.” This horse, a descendant of the horses Ari and Altynbasha, belongs to the line of the famous Skak. Its trainer is Kakamyrat Agamyradov, a People’s Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan.
Based on the unanimous conclusion of the judges, the stallion Aygytly from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan was declared the absolute winner of the “Pearl of the East” World Championship.
The most beautiful horse, Aygytly, received the grand prize from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, while its trainer was awarded the keys to a passenger car, a trophy cup, and an honorary certificate.
