The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine took part in a joint meeting of the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

On November 12, 2025, a meeting of the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries accredited in Ukraine with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Oleksandr Mishchenko took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine, Mr. Toyly Atayev.

Deepening and expanding cooperation between partner countries, the types and criteria for forming partnerships, and determining the future format of interaction were among the key topics of the meeting.

In this context, the Deputy Minister informed foreign diplomats about the creation of a separate Central Asian Department within the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and introduced its head.

Mr. Oleksandr Mishchenko focused on the current range of cooperation issues with regional states in many areas of mutual interest, as well as on future prospects for developing dialogue between Ukraine and the Central Asian states. He noted Ukraine's readiness to more intensively engage bilateral bodies and working groups, conduct political consultations at the level of foreign ministries, and enhance interaction between parliaments.

The meeting participants expressed their readiness to continue active dialogue and implement joint initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation.
