TURKMENISTAN’S PRESIDENT RECEIVES 30TH ANNIVERSARY NEUTRALITY MEDAL

Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has received a jubilee medal marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality. The award ceremony followed an expanded Cabinet of Ministers meeting at the Oguzhan Palace Complex.

The medal, titled Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna, was presented under a Mejlis resolution. Mejlis Chairwoman Dunyagozel Gulmanova read out the document at the start of the ceremony.

The resolution cited Berdimuhamedov’s role in strengthening Turkmenistan’s sovereignty and legal status of permanent neutrality, as well as in developing the country’s foreign policy and international cooperation.

The awards were timed to the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. The ceremony was held in accordance with Article 81 of the Constitution.

The expanded Cabinet meeting also included the presentation of Berdimuhamedov’s new book, “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygy – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň aýdyň ýoly.”
