A GALA CONCERT OF THE 27TH TURKSOY OPERA DAYS TOOK PLACE IN ASHGABAT

On May 3, 2026, a gala concert dedicated to the 27th Opera Days of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) was held in Ashgabat.

The concert featured leading opera performers from Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The celebration opened with the piece “Turkmenistan – a Blooming Garden” by Veli Muhadov, performed by the State Symphony Orchestra and the State Choir of Turkmenistan.

The concert program consisted of masterpieces of world and Turkic opera classics. Excerpts from national operas were performed in Turkmen, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and Turkish, as well as famous arias from works such as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Pagliacci”, “La forza del destino”, “Il trovatore”, “Carmen”, “Faust”, “Andrea Chénier”. and “Granada” in Italian, French, German, and Spanish.

This event serves as a sign of deep respect for the shared roots of Turkic-speaking peoples and a high regard for the world’s classical heritage.
