MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF THE KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY OF UKRAINE AT THE EMBASSY OF TURKMENISTAN IN KYIV
On October 25, 2024, a meeting with members of the Knowledge Society of Ukraine Andrey Gorchakov, Katerina Kravchuk and Olga Kravchuk was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.
The Knowledge Society of Ukraine was founded in 1948 and is the largest non-governmental organization in Ukraine with many years of experience in promoting science, education and culture. Today, its members are scientists, professors, teachers and cultural figures.
Mr. Gorchakov noted that the society includes a private university, where training courses are conducted in various fields, and diplomas of higher education are recognized in many countries of the world. In this regard, the representative of the Knowledge Society expressed his readiness to accept citizens of Turkmenistan as students.
In order to develop cultural cooperation, the guests expressed their readiness to hold joint exhibitions, concerts and other scientific and cultural events with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan Mr. Toyly Atayev, in turn, noted that the spheres of science, education and culture are important areas of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine and provided the Ukrainian side with information on the activities of the Embassy in these areas. In particular, they discussed the wide celebration this year in Ukraine and by the entire world community of the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen thinker and poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi. In this context, it was emphasized that 2024 was declared by the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY "The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi", and the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi was included in the list of significant dates celebrated jointly with UNESCO in 2024-2025.
